EN10083-3 50CrMo4 steel is a hardening alloy steel for quenching and tempering. These product is available in hot rolled plate, sheet, and strips, wide flats, forgings and bars. EN 50CrMo4 is equal to DIN 50CrMo4 and 1.7228.

After soft annealing, 50CrMo4 steel becomes machinable (by improved shearability) and adjusted for the mechanical cutting. 50CrMo4 alloy has different tensile requirements in different thickness as follows.
